Power Hungry CPUs

people will say AMD is more power hungry than the Intels..ok, my question is..is it applies on account of everyday computing OR its just during Overclock session only? Please someone help me..

Usually they are referring to Idle and maximum power levels, and total average usage.
It is true that AMD's cpu use more power then Intels.

In idle use, there's not much of a difference anymore these days. Most cpus lower the clockspeeds and some even disable cores in idle.

AMD's architecture is inefficient these days, but when idle or at low CPU usage it should not be too much of a problem. I miss the days when the Barton XP 3000+ 2.1GHz outperformed the higher clocked Pentium 4's...

IF youl be gaming Most of the time the diference between AMD and Intel will be minimim like 20 dollars on your bill a year depends on the prices but thats prudy mutch the max
