low 3d mark11

hi i have a gtx 660 from evga and whenever i run 3d mark11 after playing a game for 2 hours i get a score of 6102 and when i run it right after booting up my system i get a score of 6400 and i always close all extra stuff from the task bar so what is this? lol

2 things:

Background applications and heat.

The GTX 660 has a boost clock, which will lower itself when getting above 70 celcius. That will decrease your score.

Som applications cannot be seen in task manager, some is running in the background and will withdraw some performance.

When you turn on your PC your GPU will be quite cool and less background applications will possibly be running.
