Graphic card failure?

This started off a few weeks ago as a fairly rare occurrence, but now I'm starting to get worried. Almost every time I watch a show on BBC iPlayer at some point it will freeze for a few seconds and make that annoying typical noise when the sound fails. An example is the character is talking:

"Billy! Do you know whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..."
And the screen will freeze for a few seconds, then it will return to normal

The sound will come out all rough, I think because it's repeating the "a" very quickly or something. This has happened on youtube a little bit, I listen to music on windows media player and it doesn't happen though. There's no issue with my internet I don't think.

Please only post advice if you really know what you're on about, I wouldn't want wrong information. I have an MSI GTX 670 Power Edition.

Not a gpu issue it more of a ram or power issue your seeing. I would start with booting off a memtest86 cd and check your ram. If there no errors use Cpuz and make sure your ram speed and timing in the mb is right. Also check that your my bios is up to date. Last is downLoad hardware monitor and watch your power supply voltages.

I heard about that, I got this card in mid January so I assume I'm well past that? I got it from scan.co.uk had to wait about three weeks even because they needed to "order in a new batch from MSI".

Smorizio I don't get this problem when gaming even, like GTA IV. I do not have a CD at the moment.

It's worth noting I first built my PC in September 2012, I added the graphics card in January when I could afford it. Before I put the card in my PC was a lot faster, and didn't have this problem.

Yeah if you purchased it in jan the chances are small that you have a the original revision.

But the thing is, when I ordered it they kept telling me it had been delayed back, it got delayed for 3 weeks because they were shipping the new cards in... This is going to be a serious pain in the ass to get replaced, is there no other possible cause?

An update on this situation is it's been getting slightly more common, it's happened 2-3 times now within 8 minutes of video. That's surprising, it never happened near that frequently before.

I just installed the latest BIOS for my motherboard, seemed to install smoothly, and I still have this problem. I don't think I can get ahold of a spare CD right now, is there any other way I can check my RAM?

I used Cpuz and it looks like the ram speed/timing is correct, 800Mhz (I have 1600Mhz, I went into the BIOS recently and changed it from the default 1333 to 1600) and 9-9-9-24 clocks. In the mainboard section it says nothing about memory though.

I got the latest BIOS and still have this problem.

I have hardwaremonitor but I don't know what I'm meant to do with it, how can I read the voltages while playing a game or watching a video?
