Because its a workstation GPU designed for 3D design, animation, and editing. If you dont plan of doing these things, its not the card for you

Are you building a high-end workstation? The Quadros (and the FirePros) are designed for people doing high-end CAD and multimedia creation. For a more typical gaming or consumer rig, it's a little like buying a Ferrari to commute back-and-forth from work.
