hi i wanted to find out if its possible to upgrade this laptop. i bought it second hand 3 weeks ago i have put more ram in it so now it has 3gb. It has AMD SEMPRON 2gb processor nvidia graphics card - not sure which model previous owner upgraded it to windows 7 ultimate -genuine and put office 2007 on it too.

it isn't fluid when playing youtube vids it sometimes pauses, i have to ensure i dont have too many browser tabs open at once.

i'm going to be travelling a bit so wanted to ensure that it meets my needs, its ok but i cannot afford to buy a new one at the moment but i'm otherwise happy with this laptop.

Can an original battery be bought from anywhere except HP? I bought one from ebay but didn't work at all it was just dead despite lots of happy buyers.

Thanks

Upgrading a laptop is in most cases a very hard thing to (if not impossible).

Upgrading RAM, SSD or HDD is not a hard task though

Upgrading CPU or GPU pretty much impossible. There are so many things you have to consider, such as heat, power, socket and size. And in your case I think it's a dead end.
