Equal parts gaming and typing in brief stints... Want it to be backlit, and be "solid"... Don't want it to be too clacky either... Like the difference between a weighted and unweighted piano key... For the mouse, I don't want a ridiculous number of buttons on it, just nice sensitive and comfortable

More about : recommend mouse keyboard

I currently use the G400 mouse it's a pretty solid mouse I have 0 issues from it and it's been slammed on my table quite a few times after stupid deaths ingame. But the Deathadder 2013 / Naos 5000 look like really good mouses and they have some awesome reviews. As for as keyboards are you looking for a tenkeyless board? that is the one without the numberpad.

I've always used Logitech G series keyboards and always been reliable and comfortable. I'm an analyst but I love to do some gaming and the Logitech G110 have been a good purchase in my view. Might be due for an update after about 3 years of solid use but I guess if it isn't broke then don't fix it .... I've also just started using a Razer Mamba mouse. Impressive. It can be used corded or cordless and looks great too with the colour changing LED mode in the base and mouse wheel. Highly recommend both.

Before you go spend a bunch of money on a new board look around on your local CL you will be amazed by the steals you can get on there I've seen at least 20 boards on Houston craigslist for 1/2 the price most were lightly used couple still new inbox

Went out and bought a Corsair K70, and a Razer Deathadder 2013, on top of two sticks of 4gb Corsair Vengeance :)  Gaming rig is almost complete, last thing I need is a track pad. Any recommendations? Are those $35 Razer trackmatts worth it? I was wanting glass to be completes honest... Love the keyboard by the way, would have never known to go mechanical if it weren't for this site...

For my mouse I have a Cyborg R.A.T 7 and not only does it look cool but its the best feeling mouse I have ever owned and i have owned, aside from non gaming mice;

Logitech G500 (was pretty nice for a palm mouse but the cord broke)
Razer DeathAdder laser (the blue kind, I hated this one and i sold it to a friend for $25, it felt wrong and heated up my hand)
Logitech G400 (this one was horrible, the cord sucked and the glossy top felt weird and got slippery due to sweat)

^^^ I'm super content with the Deathadder, actually about to go get a Goliathus pad for it I think... I almost got the Rat 7, until i looked at it in person and read all the reviews of people complaining about creeping, wobble and the modularity of it actually being detrimental in the end... I also heard optic is better than lasers, which I don't really understand why, but for whatever reason it still swayed my decision

How are you liking your keyboard/mouse combo? I tried the cherry mx reds in store and they weren't for me I know they get alot of hype as good gaming switches but they were so light I couldn't really spam the key it just felt awkward. Now the cherry browns on the other hand woahhhh they felt amazing typing on!! And I loved how you could feel the slight bump letting you know when the key actuated. Also if you are not satisfied with your death adder I would highly recommend the Cooler Master CM Storm Xornet Gaming it is a great mouse and also very affordable.
