How to install Microsoft Office 2007 in Windows 8

Office 2007 is compatible with Windows 8. As USAFRet said, you should be able to either run the disk or launch the install file and be good to go.

I have run the set up from the disk of Office 2007 Home & Student. After removing the trial version of Office 2010 from the new computer. I then can use Excel and PP but when I try to open Word I get a message that it is a PIP file.

You can try resetting the menu files (PIP files) as outlined here at Microsoft Support if they are causing an issue.

Thanks for the help. I found that if I use File Explorer and open WinWord application rather than Word application it seems to work for me now.
