Help me save money !

Ok so i want to play games on my pc but its not possible because of the specs what can i change to make a it a fonctuial pc for an other year or so for as cheap as possible, here are the specs

Motherboard: Asus P7P55 lx
GPU: asus eah5570
Power supply: 500w
CPU:I7 870
8G of ram 1333

can i just slap on a 650 ti boost what are my possiblity

just slap a 650ti, maybe a 650ti Boost if you're willing to spend a little more and call it a day. that's assuming you have a quality PSU there and is still in good condition.

I'm kind of confused as to the question - is this an existing rig that you're planning on upgrading? And if so how much do you ultimately want to spend upgrading said rig, and what parts are you looking at besides GPU?

Yeah im planning on upgrading so i can play game such as fry cry 3 on somewhat high setting with a good frame rates but i want to spend as little as possible since the parts are already pretty old!

I'd say just add a new GPU like a 7870 XT, maybe upgrade your power supply, and add a solid SSD like a Samsung 840 Pro or OCZ Vector, and call it a day.
