APEVIA Power 3 PIN TO 4 PIN Fan Converter (Question) please help not sure if this will work out as i intend it to

so the converter above states "CVT43 adapter is used to convert a 3pin case fan to 4pin." but i want to know if it also will convert it vice-versa to convert my 4pin fan to a 3pin case fan? I intent to convert my to molex fan to 3pin so i can than connect this to NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Controller?

I think you can connect a 4pin fan to a 3pin, I built a desktop last week and my 4pin fan fits perfectly with a 3 pin connector, just make sure that the lock fits together,
