I have a UPS problem

Hi, I am new to this wonderful forum, so firstly I would like to say HELLO to all of you. Now I have a little favor to ask, my UPS is actually 800va which uses a 12v 12 amp battery, now its dead and I have to replace it, so my question is, can I use a 12v 7 amp battery with it, will it be a problem? Thanks in advance.

Using a lower Amp battery will decrease the running time of your UPS. Is it acceptable?

Yeah, it is perfectly acceptable to me, as long as it will not create any problem, say the battery will drain out quickly, or the life may became shorter. It only takes a minute or two to shut down the computer in case of power failure.

It will run 7/12th of the time it did with a 12A battery. If it ran longer than 5 minutes with the 12A battery, then you're fine.

it's ok, not a problem, but the backup time will be shorter, but not a big deal ,
