Hi, and thanks for reading.

http://ca.asus.com/en/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1366/P6T/#specifications

This is the motherboard I currently have, and I want to upgrade/add RAM on it. I was googling through various sites that claim to check compatibility but having a little bit of experience with RAM I don't really want to take any chances.

Is it possible by looking at the mobo specifications to get a good read on exactly what kind of RAM I could safely get without worrying it'd just BSOD on me?

Thanks again for reading, I really appreciate any help.

Almost any RAM that is 1066, 1333, 1800, 1866 or 2000 GHz should work. Mobo OEMs used to certify RAM for use, but that practice has been, for the most part, abandoned, as there is a proliferation of RAM OEMs.

Buy good quality RAM from Crucial, Corsair, Gskill, Mushkin, Kingston or AData and you should be safe.
