OVERCLOCKING hd 7770????

i haVe gigbyte hd 7770 oc 1 gb overclocked to 1050 mhz and mem clock to sotck 1125 mhz .... i have problem with memory overclocking ... i notice that wheneven i increased my mem clock even 5 mhz ....with core clock set to 1080mhz.... then my game freezes..... and also same with my core clock ... when i set at 1.1ghz ... gems starts freezing for 1-3 second ... why is dat ... i mean it is low level of overclocking ... is there any problem with my pc???

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your system. What software are you using to do your overclocking with?

One thing to remember is that not all chips are created equal. One 7770 may clock to 1050 Mhz, a different one could hit 1300 Mhz. Typically most 7770s can hit 1200 Mhz core and it varies a lot more on the memory as not every manufacturer uses the same memory.

i am using amd over drive for overclocking ... but i cant hit core even 1100 mhz ... and there is also a power option in it which is set to 0percent by default .... is there is any thing related to it ???? thnx

Using AMD overdrive, set the power control settings to the highest you can (+20% or 30%). Then try for 1100 Mhz core and see what happens.

Remember, only push the overclock on your core and memory separately until you find the max OC for each. Once found, back 15 Mhz off of each and you will likely have your fastest stable OC.
