Hi,
So my PC was stuck on "Verifying DMI pool data.." when something is hooked up on my Sata Port 0-3, i have 6 sata ports. 2 HDDs and a DVD-RW Drive. I know it's not the drives because i tried plugging 2 of the 3 mentioned devices (any of them) into Ports 4 and 5 and they seem to work fine. However, if I try to Plug a Third Device into Ports 0-3, it'll get stuck on ""Verifying DMI pool data.."..

I also Tried plugging in only one device, if it's on Sata ports 4 or 5, it will work. but not if it's plugged into Ports 0-3.

Also if any device is plugged into Sata Port 0-3, My Keyboard wouldn't respond when Accessing BIOS or Boot manager. It's Not frozen cause the marquee guide at the bottom of my BIOS is moving.

I also already tried clearing the CMOS to no avail.

Does anyone know a fix for this? the Motherboard is still new. about a couple of months old. Still under warranty, But I need my PC and the RMA process might take a while so I was hoping to just find a fix for it.

Thanks Guys!

Here's My System Specs by the way:
AMD FX-8320
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Sapphire ATI Radeon 7750 1gb GDDR5
Kingston 4GB 1333mhz
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-s2 Mobo
1TB Hitatchi SATA HDD
320GB WD caviar Blue HDD
1 DVD-rw Drive
FSP HEXA 500w PSU

I first thought it was a problem with the Generic PSU that I'm using, so I bought an FSP Psu, then tried switching ports, and then troubleshooted the cause.

hi! I've already tried your suggestion. tried different cables on different drives on different ports, and came up with the conclusion that whenever something is plugged into SATA ports 0-3, it'll get stuck and the keyboard won't respond in BIOS. Is there a Solution for this? aside from RMA? Thanks for the Response!

The GA-78LMT-s2 Mobo is one of Gigabytes entry level AM3+ motherboards. It doesn't support the high-end 125 watt TDP (Thermal Power Design) CPU's like the FX-8320. If you are using a processor that is not on the CPU Support List then that may be the cause of the odd behavior.

Holy smokes! I didn't notice that :O I guess my impulsiveness is the one to blame, Before I built my PC i was originally planning to buy the FX-6300 (I've checked this one is it is supported by my board), But then I saw the FX-8320 on a Price drop. only about $10 more than the FX-6300. so I bought it without thinking twice. I haven't realized until now that this CPU isn't actually on the CPU Support list of my board O_O..

This *might* be the cause, but I'm not that convinced since I am able to use my PC stably, even OC'd it to 4.3Ghz stable. runs cool while Running Prime95 for few hours. my Max temp is about 50C-52C at 100% for 2-3hrs. idles @ 26C. There seems to be no problem with the temp. But this is still a valid explanation. I'm still going to wait for few more answers, maybe someone might have a solution/fix for this, other than RMA.

Thanks Everyone for the response! I Appreciate it very much.
