Hey guys,

Im building my first computer, and am running into a graphics card driver issue. My Motherboard (ASRock 970) does not have an internal video card, so I need to get my driver installed in order for it to display on the monitor. But without the display, I cant install the driver. Do you have any suggestions for me on how to go about this?

Can I install the driver on the Hard Drive in a different computer, then switch out the hard drive and place it back in my new computer and have it working or do I need the graphics card in the motherboard to get it installed?

Thanks!

Just assemble it fully, connect it up normally and power it on, the motherboard BIOS and graphics card BIOS will work together and provide a basic display with limited resolution and colours, there is no need to install anything before powering up a new system for the first time.

First builds are always the most challenging, it's easy, even for experienced home builders, to take their eye off the ball for a moment and forget to plug something in or misconnect those tiny wires for the front panel and power/reset switches.
