Lenovo G580 Connects but Cannot Browse Internet

Hello,

I recently purchased a Lenovo G580 (http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/983842/Lenovo-G580-59359080-Laptop-Computer-With/) and have been in the process of setting it up.

However, one problem I am running into -and which seems to be common with this model-, is that I cannot get the wireless internet to work (consistently). While I am able to connect to the wireless network without a problem (and have a strong signal), I am unable to actually browse the internet. More specifically, I had no issues browsing the internet yesterday, but I can't do so today.

I'm trying to play around with the (driver?) updates as was suggested in one of the Office Depot customer reviews (second page, second review down by user "imortlnoctrn"), but don't know where to find them. Any suggestions on how to follow this person's solution or other proposals would be welcome.

My specs, as far as I know:

Lenovo G580
Windows 8 64 bit
Intel Core i3-3120M 2.5 Ghz
4GB DDR3 SDRAM
Unknown wireless adapter beyond generic 802.11b/g/n
