IGNORE MY RIG SIGN THAT RIG WAS STOLEN!

Ok guys here is my situation: I am debating on grabbing a better MB and SSD for my rig or just get me a 120Hz 40: TV. I have a 7970 gpu and a low end monitor I don't think it is giving me the pic quality I know I should be getting from my card.

I have a MSI 970-46 AM3+ MB I heard mixed reviews about this board and I am leery on how long it will last. My NB runs little warm for my taste (50c idle) I heard this board isn't good for OC and I OC @ 4.2 with a FX-8320. I was looking at this TV from local Microcenter:http://www.microcenter.com/product/404686/UW40T_Series_40_1080p_LED_HDTV [microcenter.com]

OR this:http://www.microcenter.com/product/411979/32L2300U_32_120Hz_720p_LED_TV But it is 720p =(

Or getting this MOBO with a SSD:http://www.microcenter.com/product/395441/M5A99FX_PRO_R20_Socket_AM3_990FX_ATX_AMD_Motherboard [microcenter.com]

I am in a bind, I don't mind holding out on MB for a little while but I know the MSI is a cheap board. What should I do? Bring down the OC and add extra fans to see if I can get the NB to run cooler and get the TV or just get better MB and SSD? Help me out please I am stuck on decision here =) Any POSITIVE feedback is welcomed and thanked in advance.

HELP?

I would be reluctant to buy that TV. Its blacks will probably be more gray than black for a horrid picture. You definitely want to see it in operation first. Normally you want a computer monitor over a TV because TV's can have a large delay in input to picture as they do all their processing. For $300 you can get a great monitor.

Here is just one example.

If you can wait a few weeks, after Haswell comes out, you can expect some discounting of AMD stuff. It may pay to wait until early June.

I am not looking to jump from AMD to Intel I am satisfied with with my current cpu (Rarely noticed difference from the 2600k I used to own to FX8320 I can honestly say for gaming purpose it's not much of a deal) it is the MB I have concerns with. I will stick to monitor subject: I have played some games on a friends 120Hz TV and it looks really really nice I have noticed a MAJOR difference between 60Hz and 120Hz. I have an el-cheapo Acer LED I don't like it much seems too blurry and I feel like I am not getting pic with the gpu I have. Um I seen some mixed reviews about that monitor.

If you look at my answer, I said wait until Haswell because AMD will discount its products then. Just be careful with TV's as computer monitors. I have read of people getting sick because of the delay. Please look at that TV before buying it. I suspect it will have horrible blacks.

I agree with the Blacks being horrible on some monitors. I would suspect "Gaming mode" is a gimmick? It says it has that mode (Samsung I listed it not the other one) I am planning on checking out few retailers like Microcenter and Sears to see it in action. I apologize for confusion, I understand what you mean by wait. Perhaps some adjustments can make the pic quality and "Black" more richer. I really like the smoother motion of 120Hz. I am wondering if there are any around my price range that are decent. Been searching online for last hour can't make up my mind =(. I appreciate your input non the less. Little frustrated over losing my last rig. lol

People are different concerning monitor speeds. I am running a IPS 30 inch monitor that runs at 60Hz and has 6ms GTG and it is fine for me. Others, like you, are more sensitive to this and will think my monitor is slow, jagged, or jumpy.

And just becuse the TV is 120Hz, don't let that fool you. It simply means the TV is doing a lot of picture processing and will probably have lots of lag.

Any recommendations NB coolers? It seems more logical and budget friendly to me. lol I am rebuilding all over again and I really do like 120Hz I play alot of FPS games (Crysis, BF3, Far Cry3) Also would I need a Dual Link DVI? I read It is needed due to bandwidth limitations on HDMI and DVI.
