I just built a new computer and everything seems to work except that on the mobo it says A2 (IDE Detect). I have a ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe. I haven't installed a OS yet. I have an SSD and a HDD.
I don't know much about computers to be honest but I don't want to go on with installing the OS untill there is no problems with the motherboard. I can get into the BIOS but with keyboard and mouse connected i automatically presses enter and up-arrow. Can't navigate with that in BIOS...
What's wrong`?

With only keyboard plugged in only up-arrow is automatically pressed.
With only mouse plugged in only enter is automatically pressed and arrow drawn to the upper right corner of the screen.

I have the HDD power connected but not the data. (installing OS in SSD hence the disconnected data cable). SSD has both data and power connected. The keyboard and the mouse are the only two USB devices plugged in. I'll try disconnecting the front panel USB 3.0 cable from the mobo. The two frontpanel USB 2.0 aren't used because in those slots there are CorsairLink plugged in from PSU and watercooler. I'll post a reply once I've tried that.

I've tried to disconnect the usb front panel cable. still got the same problem.
Everything seems dry, Allthough it would be hard to spot if there was a small drop somewhere.

I just tried disconnecting both keyboard and mouse and of course it said "No keyboard detected" or something. I plugged in the keyboard and now no automatic clicking or anything. But as soon as i plugged in the mouse it started again with up, enter and dragging arrow things.

The mouse works just fine connected to my laptop...

The q-code A2 is still there.

Could CPU Fan Error have anything to do with it? I have that message on boot-up. "CPU Fan Error. Press F1 for setup."
I assume it's an entirely different problem but I think I can fix that by reassembling the fan cables. I believe I did something wrong. I'll get back to you as soon as I've tried. Hopefully I've got some time this evening. Otherwise it's be tomorrow.

Also, when I installed my waterblock to the CPU I used acetone to clean of the pre-applied thermal paste and applied AS5. Could there have been any issue there? I REALLY don't want to redo that process...
The CPU is very cool, between 25-35 C

The reason for the cpu fan error might be, that no fan is connected to the fan header on the mobo. You can disable the warning in bios then. There is am option for the minimum cpu fan speed. Set that to zero and the warning is gone.
I don't think the waterblock is the problem. One thing to keep an eye on is the I/O Shield. Make sure all of the little springs on the ports are in place and none is twisted.
