Hi all I just had a pc built and since day one I can turn it on and it will blink and not post. I thought it may have been the power supply so I got one just like I had a corsair ax1200i and it does the samething.
I did get it to come on and post and it stayed on for a good 2 hours and it shut off again. I can then unplug the psu and plug it back in and it want post but as soon as I unplug it and plug it back in again it will post and thats why I thought it my be the power supply but I changed it out and samething. It seems like it shuts off the most while I am playing a game.
The motherboard is a Asus rampage 4 extreme and it reads AA when its on and running but I here thats normal. I have it overclocked to 4.4ghz and I ran prime95 for 2 hours and the highest temp was 69c, I have done this 3 times and it cut off once and the other 2 I ended.
The in game temp on the cpu is 52c and the cpu is a i73930k so I dont know what could be the problem as I just played bf3 for around 1.5 hours and it done fine but like I said sometimes I can only play for 10min and t cuts off so I am stumped and sorry if this isnt the right place to post this but I am thinking something could be wrong with the moterboard and I will also post pc specs below.
