Part 2: Would you buy an xbox 360 if it was refurbished by the seller?

It's 250GB and it would come with five pretty nice games, plus two controllers.

The guy selling it says it's in perfect working condition, but who knows, people lie all the time.

Anyway, if you were in need of a console, would you purchase this one? Also, what would be the maximum amount you would pay for what i described above?

Is the seller a store, or just some random guy?

Considering the rate at which xboxes fail under normal conditions, I'd probably want to buy a new one unless I was horribly strapped for cash.

But are they really known to fail? Even if it's a slim? I had the original 360 a couple of years ago, which did die but I thought it was probably due to letting my younger brother playing it non-stop.

I don't know if most people know that, but after helping my numerous friends with fixing their xboxes... I'm not sure any of them who have an xbox hasn't asked me for help with it at least once.

Xboxes fail all the time (even new ones). So this is not worth risk IMO.

If I were you I would buy a PC (beacuse of things like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocVyrtcTpHw) but thats just me.

Yeah the red ring of death is not a myth. I don't even game on consoles but just having friends and family and their kids with xboxes they fail all the time.

I don't believe any random person could "refurbish" an xbox. Not in any legal way at least. The only reason I know of to open one is to hack it and that's all I will say about that.

Well if I were to get this and something did go wrong, It most likely would be repairable right? I feel like I could fix one myself, since I have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to building PC's

Seeing as how you can get a refurb from GS for $150, I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it even with the games.

Gah, I don't know what to do. I would rather buy a new 360 from a retail store so I could have a warranty, but the prices goes up to $300, which is insanely high compared to the one i mentioned before ($160)

Also, apparently the new xbox "720" is going to be announced later this month, so now I'm wondering is it even worth buying a 360? Will they continue to make games for the 360 or will the 360 eventually become the original xbox?
