Water cooling tubes transfer heat?

I recently installed a newer graphics card on my system that was larger than I anticipated. The main tube going from the reservoir to CPU is now partially resting on the back of the GPU as a result.

Since the installation, I've noticed my temperature running about 5-8C higher than normal on the CPU (the loop is single with the CPU only at this time). While I do intend to redo the loop in the future, can heat transfer from the tubing to the coolant?

And have you bled the loop since you installed the new card?
tiny bubbles could get stuck in your block if you had it on its back to mount the new gfx card,
top your res up and rotate the Pc through all possible angles to shake loose any trapped air in block or radiator
