hi everyone
am planning on building a gaming desktop, my idea is using:
GTX 680
16GB (2033GHz)
core i7 3740
SSD

future plan: another 680 as SLi

the issue is with the motherboard, i know the latest now is the intel Z77, and there are many options. what i want from my mobo is best performance and best performance only, am not planning on OC or BIOS flashback, and i certainly do not care about the looks of the mobo.

two vcard slots with 4 ram slots is completely enough.

thanx in advance.

ok i may sound as a mars-man here, but what is the difference between the "MSI Z77A-G45" and "ASUS Maximus V Formula ($290 with AC3)"
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131934&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10440897&PID=3332167&SID=u00000626

??
coz i didn't understand the weight of the features in this ASUS, do they affect the performance that much? does the $200 difference worth it? plus am planning on keeping this mobo for 2 or 3 years.

i also kinda liked this "ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 "
