after searching around the forum for a few days i've picked out some parts for a first time build. I will be using the computer for school and for mild gaming (diablo 3 and starcraft 2). I use autoCAD and autodesk inventor. I also watch a lot of movies and would like to be able to run multiple monitors.

[PCPartPicker part list](http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WvjW) / [Price breakdown by merchant](http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WvjW/by_merchant/) / [Benchmarks](http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WvjW/benchmarks/)

If theres anything unecessary for what I'm using it for and can save money please let me know ( I know i can down grade the SSD and HDD)

for CAD and workstation uses at this budget, no. the i5 doesnt compete

yep. the 8320 isnt bad for gaming but the i5 does perform better in that department. the 8320 will suit you well. same thing as the 8350 but cheaper

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's only the high end 760 Ti/770/780 that will be launching, the cheapest of which will be around the $300 price point. It's a little out of your budget, and I'd be surprised if it significantly changes the price of a card $100 below (though maybe there will be a slight shift in pricing to get rid of excess 660 Tis and above). The GTX 660, presumably, will still be nVidia's mid-range card, even after the first part of the 700 series release, so it's not as if it's becoming end of life straight away. This is all speculation on my part though, and I suppose there's no harm waiting to see what happens if you don't need the build right away.

If you want the next generation of NVIDIA GPUs, you're going to be waiting a while. Production delays on the new GK processors mean these GPUs are going to be pushed back until the end of September, early October at the latest.
