There are also a couple "mini ATX," which will support a full-sized atx board... but they're going to be a bloody pain to work with. A mid tower is your best bet.
Lian Li has quite a few small cases that will fit an ATX mobo. They do it by moving the psu to the front of the case. So the case is only a little taller than the ATX mobo since the psu is no longer above or below the mobo. A few even have the psu mounted vertically in the front of the case under the hhd drive bays to reduce depth also. Check the Lian Li website.
Dont know if you still need an answer but i just bought this ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=11-119-265 ) because i like having a full size ATX board but also go to a lot of LAN's so carrying a huge case isnt that much fun.
