Radeon hd 8000 and 9000 series?

As far as the most recent rumors have it, the 8000 series is only being released as mobile parts; AMD is supposedly skipping it's desktop lineup to release the 9000 series graphics cards based on the volcanic islands chip in order to take advantage of nvidia only releasing a refresh of kepler.

there have been 8000 series desktop gpus released, but theyre OEM only. the next ones we'll be able to buy (without buying an 8000 series in a prebuilt desktop) are the 9000 series later this year
