Compatibility is between the motherboard / memory - not the cpu / memory.

The memory clock is not tied to the cpu clock.

The motherboard will support: DDR3 1066/1333/1600/1866 (O.C)/ 2133 (O.C)/ 2400 (O.C)

Depending on what you're doing the increase in memory speed and be a very minimal increase in performance.
