CPU-z shows my 1600mhz RAM at 665.2mhz! how to increase it?

well, this is what i have: i5 3570k (6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz) and 8GB (1 module) of Kingston blu Hyperx at 1600mhz. I know that 665.2 is just the half of the actual frequency but its still far from 1600...

And this is what CPU-Z shows:
Dram Frequency 665.2 mhz
FSB:DRAM 1:5
CAS# Latency (CL) 9.0 clocks
RAS# to CAS# delay 9 clocks
RAS# percharge 9 clocks
Cycle time 24 clocks
Command Rate 1T

PD: i dont use this pc for gaming, i do play games but its pretty rare and mosty on vacations, so do i really need the 1600mhz all the time? if i set it to auto (from the BIOS settings) will it change to 1600 when playing?

Hello! What kind of motherboard do you have? I'm not sure but if the motherboard doesn't accept 1600DDR3 it might downclock it to 1333? Sometimes at a glance a MB will say it supports 1600 but really it's 1600 OC. I believe that means it will support overclocking 1333 to 1600. This is different than just 1600 stock as some MB do not accept it. I might be really off here but I think thats how it goes. Find out if this 1600ram is compatible with your MB. CPU-z should tell you the model number of your motherboard and if not there is a free program called speccy from the guys who make ccleaner that will tell you the model numbers as well. This is just an idea. Thanks!

i have a GIGABYTE GA-B75M-HD3 and in the gigabyte page is says: Support for DDR3 1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules. * To support DDR3 1600 MHz, you must install an Intel 22nm (Ivy Bridge) ((( WICH I HAVE ))) CPU.
