I am trying to upgrade my current gaming hardware by purchasing a gaming laptop from MSI. I will most likely be trying to run Elder Scrolls Online, Planetside 2, and all those other games that have recently came out. Would these specs be able to run these games on high to ultra?

3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3740QM 2.7GHz (6MB Cache, up to 3.7GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0)

Graphics card: NVIDIA 2GB GTX 660M GDDR5

Kingston HyperX 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz (2DIMMS

750GB 7,200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s

Just a heads up, I am very noobish when it comes to computer specs. I have never really been one for how things work so any feedback that you could give me on the potential performance of abovesaid specs please let me know.

The MSI model I am looking at is called MSI GE70 0ND-213US i7 2GB NVIDIA GTX 660M 17.3"

Thanks for your answer, it seemed to really help me with understanding which graphics card is good. I don't have much time to do my own research so I appreciate you hhelping me out. Thank you very much. If anyone else has any answers or ideas please feel free to post.

Not sure where you are buying from, If newegg then you probably read the user reviews. If by chance not then here is a link:
Looks like a good spec-ed laptop.
