Upgrade? which part first....

I have been running this rig for a while and lately i been having alot of freeze ups and fps are dropping down to single digits in some of the games i been playing for a long time that use to always be around 60-70fps.. so not sure why its been happening...
I replaced the powersupply based off tiger directs recommendation.. but it didnt change a thing..

What types of games are you playing?

Do you have a budget?

Some games are CPU intensive while others are GPU intensive.

You're about 4-5 "generations" behind on your CPU and much more than that on your GPU.

What resolution do you want to run your games at and what setting are you expecting?

With a CPU upgrade you're going to have to replace the motherboard and the memory.

You should be able to upgrade your GPU but you'll be CPU bound with most higher end cards now.

well today i think it bit the dust.. computer was running fine.. while i was gone.. went to the local store to buy new GPU and decided to buy the GTX 660 SC because it was on sale for 189.99..

Well i got home shut the computer down then took the side off unscrewed the gpu's i had in it and carefully removed them.. then i placed the new gpu in and plugged it all in and when i powered it up.. nothing.. was so confused.. so i reseated everything in the system tried again.. nothing..

My MOBO has post lcd on the back. but instead of it saying words.. its just 9 x 1's.. which means nothing on the post chart.. so not sure what that all means.. everything comes on like its trying to work but no display.. the cpu fans are all on.. the normal mobo lights are on and the hd is making noise.. but there is no display.. i tried both monitors with neither working..

So i tried clearing the cmos like the manual states..no change..
downgraded to basic 1x memmory, 1x hd, 1x gpu... no change..
tried single memmory in all 4 slots.. no change..
pulled out my old power supply 550w unit plug it in not mounted in the case.. same as above.. everything seemed the same no change..
tried gpu in all 3 slots. no change..
tried old gpu.. no change..

so i am completely lost on what is the issue now.. i was careful with everything so unsure why its doing this..
