New case, want more fans, but no more connectors.

I just got a new Coolermaster Storm Scout case, and it comes with 3 case fans. The fans use up all of my Molex connectors from my PSU, but I wanted to install atleast 1 more fan for the side panel, to blow on my HD 7870, because it has been getting to about 75c when playing Bioshock Infinite(I know thats not terrible, but its also just starting to get warm here). Should I be buying a fan controller, and if so, should I also be buying Molex to 3 pin converters? Because the case fans that came with the case already have molex connections.

How many fans do you have in that case? More fans doesn't help. That usually create more turbulence than better airflow. Blowing air at the GPU doesn't help unless you have bad airflow or your ambient temperature is already fairly cool.

ksham :

3 case fans, all of which came pre-installed. a 120mm intake at front of case, a 120 mm exhaust at the back of the case, and a 140mm exhaust on the top of the case. So even though it has 2 mounts for fans on the side panel, i should not use them?

I guess it's not a terrible idea since your front intake fan is kinda useless because very little air actually make it past the HDD cage.

Well then I guess I still need an answer for my first question... To get more fans, I would need either a fan controller or a molex splitter? And if I go the fan controller route, do I then need to get molex to 3 pin converters? Also, any recommended fan controllers?

1. Most fans that you buy comes with a male and female molex connector.
2. You don't want a molex to 3-pin fan controller. I don't even know any.

The 3 case fans I have are molex... even the pictures show 3 x 5-pin connectors and 1 molex... Sorry, just a little confused, considering I've never needed a 3 pin except the CPU fan and my PSU has no connections for 3 pins...

Tomorrow after work I will open my case back up and look for 3 pin connections somewhere along their wires...
