hi guys, I recently purchased a Asus Crosshair V Formula for my system, I have installed it and did a fresh install to go with it, and when it booted up for the first time it was good, nothing wrong at all but when I downloaded the drivers from the motherboard CD (I think it was Asus Suite II) my explorer.exe or my start menu bar is uber slow, I have to wait like 2 minuets for it to respond. I have tried doing another fresh install but still does it when i install drivers from CD and i just tried to unistall all of the drivers from the CD but it seems once it's on the computer even though its been unistalled it still doesnt respond on start up. Its not that bad to wait for it but it's very annoying and wanted to see if anyone else had a problem like this? Thanks.

My System Specs:
AMD Phenom ii x6 1100t
Asus Crosshair V Formula 990fx
16GB Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz
x2 MSI Nvidia Geforce GTX 660ti PE SLI
Corsair H80
OCZ Agaility 4 SSD 128GB
Western Digital 500GB Caviar Sata III 6GB
OCZ 750W ZT Series PSU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I have updated the ones from the CD from the Asus Website Vendor but still no luck, also ive updated my bios and again still no luck im screwed :(

Use msconfig go under the startup tab and turn stuff off one and a time till the pc speeds up. Then go b.ack in and turn it on.if the pc slows down again that the program that giving you issues. Also check in add/remove programs you only have one anti virus program loaded.

I just fixed mine by doing this:
Uninstall Asus suite, (I think that's what it was called).
Then go to yourservices by doing ctrl + alt + delete and selecting the services tab.
Then click on services toward the bottom of that screen.
Then look for something called: Asus fan control service and set it to manual or disable it.

Should work like a charm.
Cheers
