I recently got the itch to add sound sensitive case lighting to my case, I don't want something cheesy but not something too expensive. I'd like to have it reactive to various volume levels (Louder volumes = more lights) i'd like the lights to be color changing. The max budget is 100$ Can anybody recommend a system to buy? (I have a full tower case)

I'm not sure about sound reactive lighting, But you can modify Hitlights 5050 smd's which are color changeable/intensity changeable through controller

Example here

looking further, I found out that hitlights does offer a sound activated option.

although hitlights runs on 12v, it does NOT come with a molex connector. to make it work, you are going to have to solder the black and red wire from the molex to whatever is at the end of the power strip
