My issue is auto reboot after shut down. It appears to shutdown as per normal but then reboots after a 2 or 3 sec. delay. The system is running Win 7 Pro. However at the suggestion of another thread I booted the system using a Linux Live DVD and the issue is still present. I assume therefore, the problem is in the BIOS. According to SANDRA the mobo is an HP 3032H model. It's the desktop model. I am not familiar with HP mobos and the BIOS is not set up like most other boards. Some settings that have been suggested for problem sourcing don't appear to exist on this board.

The issue came about when someone shut off the power to the house while I was out of town. My wife had been using the PC at the time.

You won't be able to accomplish much in that bios - HP locks them down pretty tightly.

Have you tried a restore to a point prior to the power loss? Have you tried a system repair using the recovery partition or system disc?
