Motherboard SLI support needed to run dual GPU cards?

Anyone know if a motherboard has to be certified SLI capable to run a 690? I know it only plugs into one slot, but does the motherboard have to do any extra work?

No the motherboard does not have to be SLI capable.

no its not in SLI they are stripped in to a single PCB. your mobo doesnt need to do any extra work.
