I need a keyboard. I am kinda confused if i shold get mech or ergonomics 4000 or apple keyboard.
Is mech for typing?
I am looking at CMStorm quickfire pro.
And microsoft ergo 4000
and apple Wired keyboard.
Tell me which is the best for Typing - I do have a PS3 so not really for gaming.
So , there you go. Any suggestion appreciated.

This depends on 2 things: how much do you want to spend, and are you able to try some keyboard before purchase.

A lot of people tend to automatically yell "mechanical". I too use a mechanical keyboard, but there are people who do not prefer them.
if you can try one out, I would really suggerst trying a mechanical keyboard, and if you like it, saving up and get one. This might seem like a big purchase, but it will be well worth it.

If you do not like mechanical keyboards, or are not able to test one out and not willing to take the risk and "waste" a decently large chunck of money (esp in terms of what people generally think of as reasonable prices when it comes to keyboards), I would suggest simply trying out things. I very much like the apple keyboards myself, they feel strong and give a decent tactile response. It could be you prefer different switches.
If you spend only 10-20 USD or EUR or whatever on a keyboard anyways, I wouldn't worry about longlivity that much, but thats just me.

I can spend upto 120USD but I need the best bang for my buck man. And I cannot try one. I have only wholesalers near me and I cannot get my hands on a single piece before I purchase it.
But can you say in general- what kinda keyboard is best for programming/ typing?

I'm personally a big fan of Metadot's daskeyboard series, both ultimate and normal (thats with or without letters printed on the keys, I have the ultimate myself, just for "coolfactor" :p).
Other brands you could look at are Filco and Ducky, just to name 2 from the top of my mind.

The main thing you need to watch out for is that you (when you do get a mechanical) get one with MX blue switches, as they tend to generally be the favored one for typing.

If you want to know more about them before purchasing, I suggest this link: http://www.daskeyboard.com/blog/?page_id=1458
It might be from the daskeyboard website, but it gives a lot of general info you could use whatever brand you do decide to go with.

I thought MX brown was for typing as blue was super hard to press and stuff?

No mechanical switches are hard to press. The brown is a "quiet" version of the blue, and if I recall correctly, takes even less force to push. They still allow you to feel the switch closing, but do so without (or with nowhere near as much) sound.

Unnless you have very, very thin walls or have to share the desk with others in a genneraly quiet enviroment (open offices are genneraly loud enought to mask the sound anyways), in my opinion, the blue's are the way to go.
