I'm upgrading my psu (XFX Core 450w) to a either the XFX Core 550w or the SeaSonic G 550w psu. The price difference between the two is $9. I know the SeaSonic is part-modular but after looking at some of the pictures of the modular cables they seem rather cheap in quality. I don't have a problem with non modular cables in my HAF 912. Can anyone help me choose which one to purchase? Thank you.

The XFX Pro Series 550W Full Wired Edition (Bronze) (P1-550S-XXB9) uses Seasonic as the OEM. It is based on Seasonic's S12II Bronze Series platform.

The electrical performance of the Seasonic G-550 (SSR-550RM Active PFC F3) is superior to the XFX Pro Series 550W.

Get the Seasonic.

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm going to purchase the XFX since my 450w has been solid for the past two years. I thought about buying the SeaSonic. However, after looking at some of the reviews of the product, I'm concerned about the longevity of the product since it's fairly new. The S12 platform that the XFX is based on has been solid for me so I will purchase another one.
