Hello guys. This is a quick question as it doesn't really need "discussion". I just need a yes or no answer :).

I have an alienware desktop (for my own reasons) and Im upgrading it (already bought the parts myself).

Those are my specs if really needed.
CPU
Cache
Mainboard
Memory
SPD
Graphics

My motherboard seems to be:
http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/mainboard-alienware-07jnh0-specs-5h48372011/

and as I said I already bought the new parts (When I shouldn't). So the parts are getting here next week, and I'm worried the memory won't work.

This is what I bought:
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit (F3-2133C9D-16GXH)

As you see I bought 2133MHz. And right now I'm running 1600 I think.

All I want to know: Will it WORK? I wouldn't mind if it work but it could only run at 1600. I'm just worried it won't work at all.

Anyone can answer that for me?

Thanks in advance

I think it will work but not at 2133mhz speed. The max your board can handle is up to 1866 mhz. Also, your board supports quad core and you bought a dual channel kit. That was a real bad buy and waste of money for you. Next time ask before you order something. install it and boot your PC and see what pops up in windows or in your BIOS.

I just assumed 2x8 would be better than 4x2.

Some people told me to do that in fact x.x ...

Its still going to be faster right?

I can probably return it tho.. and get a Quad channel.
