[PLEASE LOOK BELOW FOR UPDATED LIST OF ITEMS I'M LOOKING TO PURCHASE]

(Also side note: I said I was going with 800D but decided to wait for the 900D case)

Hello!

I've only recently setup my first build:

MB: ASRock z77 extreme4
CPU: 3570k
Graphics: HD Powercolor 7970
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750M
Case: Zalman Z11 Plus Mid Tower

Now, transitioning into overclocking, I've been doing a significant amount of reading about watercooling.

However, it's not that easy of a transition for a beginner and I was thinking of buying a 'kit' for my first time.

So I was thinking of first trying out the EK H30 360 HFX Watercooling Kit.

I do recognize that my case would not fit so i was thinking of getting the Corsair 800D (it may be overkill but I love the darn thing). However, I'm open to alternative suggestions.

I was hoping on getting your thoughts on things I should be aware of or need to pay attention to...

Furthermore, what would the following steps (or purchases) be in order for me to eventually also watercool my 7970?

Thank you

I'd be lying if I said i read the whole thing. However, yes, I did go over it. But my problem was that it seemed to raise more questions (at least in my case). I posted on here because I learn much better in an interactive format.

Apologies if i missed something...

Edit: if it was respect to the kit that I selected, it was because some of the ones recommended in the sticky were no longer in production and I did some research and people seemed to generally lean towards this kit.

It's pretty straight forward. Most of the things people will say will be in there.

If you get that kit, and you decide to cool your GPU as well, you'll need to get a 7970 full-cover block, which will only work if your 7970 has a reference PCB.

Ok, I apologize for the late response. However, after much further reading... I've decided on these components. Please critique and tell me what I could select better or if I've selected something incorrectly. I believe I've covered all bases, however, if you notice that I'm missing something then please do tell :D

I appreciate your patience.

First of all, I'll be waiting for the 900D instead of 800D case.

Only thing about that loop I would change is the pump. Jingway pumps (which that EK one is as far as I can tell) have fallen off the market and there are no reviews I can find of it. So its performance against a D5 or DDC pump is unknown, so who knows how it will perform when confronted with a loop like this.
