I am having problems trying to find a long enough Displayport 1.2 cable.

I need about an 8 ft cable, 10 ft cable works too.

The configuration I need is Mini Displayport to Displayport V1.2

Problem is, I've only found about to 6.6 feet long in true 1.2.

Others I have found in 1.2 say it has a transfer rate of 8.64 gb/s. But is that not the spec of 1.0 and 1.1? Isn't 1.2 supposed to be double that?

I need 1.2 because I will be using 4k graphic textures and 1440p resolutions.

I need help :(

I found this in 6.6 ft: http://www.accellcables.com/B143B.html

And found this in 10 ft: https://www.cablewholesale.com/products/apple-products/displayport/product-10h1-62110.php

The 6.6 ft cable above seems like the real deal, but 6.6 ft is maximum length sold. The 10 ft cable above I don't believe is what I am looking for because reading the description it specs the same specs as 1.0 and 1.1, where as the 6.6 ft cable above specs 1.2 cable specs.

Can anyone help me?

I think I might be over confusing myself on this whole topic. I'm still trying to research and learn about this stuff but can't really seem to find the answers I seek.

In my original post I am worried about finding a cable too maximize my potential. I will be running graphics with 4k textures and running a resolution of 1440p on my main monitor. But, I am not daisy chaining monitors. Each monitor will have its own connection in my 6GB graphics card on my computer.

I keep reading that the Displayport 1.2 cable supports up to 2 monitors at 1600p and 4 monitors at 1080p. But does that mean daisy chained off 1 cable?

So if the displayport cable 1.0 or 1.1 can handle one monitor at 1600p, that means it is off one cable? And since I am only using one cable per monitor all into separate ports on my graphics card, I really should be okay even if my cable isn't 1.2? Even considering my demanding application, graphics wise?

I just want to make sure I am not creating a choke point for my graphics through my cable. I use heavily modded graphic textures up to 4k and my monitor as previously stated is 1440p 27" PLS.

So, if I used a displayport connection for my main monitor, and DL-DVI for my other 2 monitors, all connecting into my graphics card in separate ports each, I should be okay?

I'm really new to this stuff, I'm all confused and I can tell this post is just a jumbled up mess, I apologize :(

EDIT; Made a couple corrections and fixed some typos.

Yes, all of your questions are correct.

So long as you are not daisy chaining, each DP connection can support up to 1600 on its own so between DP and DVI you should be able to hook up all of your three and get the throughput and resolution you desire.
