I had no idea where to put this question. I apologize if it's in the wrong section.

When I'm in a game, can be any game. Randomly my monitors will shut off the sound of the game persists for a few seconds and then it stops and I assume my computer shuts down because I have to restart.

I thought it was the power supply not supplying enough power to my computer so I bought a 1200 watt psu and it still happens. (no where near as often.) The power in my house is wired horribly so there's a good chance of a surge hitting my computer and causing this but I don't know if that's the case. (getting a UPS as soon as possible)

It never happens when I'm not in a game so could it have something to do with my graphics card? Could it be ram? I bought two new sticks of ram recently and have all 4 sticks in my computer.

It used to happen about 4 times a day until I unplugged 2 monitors and left 1 running and unplugged most things from my computer, it only happened once wiht my old psu. With my new one it happened when I turned on my surround sound and had that running for awhile in my room. Could my house not be providing enough power to that room for everything and doesn't give my computer enough power?

Any information would be greatly appreciated so I don't spend more money on things that might not be broken.
