I've read about how in MoP, the rogue has the ability to regain energy via Slice n Dice. I'm only lvl 40 right now and purchased the battlechest so I don't have MoP. My question is, if I were to purchase MoP, will my rogue immediately be able to make use of this perk, or would I have to wait until I am in the new MoP zones?

I don't play WoW now, and haven't since WotLK, but in the past, if you get the latest expansion, all the perks are available immediately, assuming you are of high enough level to use it. There is a good chance the change is through your spec, rather than the ability itself, and there is a good chance that if you don't see the change now, it is not something available at your level, as spec features don't normally have anything to do with expansions, other than adding new levels and perks for those new levels.

who are you calling "nerds"? Really, If you want to use that as a label for yourself then fine, but just calling everyone else a nerd is stupid.

Calm down, its the age of the geek... Nerd is honorary these days,,,

We're a group of people who volunteer our time on internet forums helping other people with technological problems. That pretty much makes us nerds.

Not sure it's something to get offended about unless you're looking to get offended.

Agreed. I happen to like that term...

That doesn't make you a nerd and I hate that term, It's pretty much meant to be offensive

It... I'm not sure where you're from, but I've never, repeat never heard it used as a derogatory term save in movies about the sixties.

That being said, you take offense to being called a nerd, but then turn around and say that we should all be knowledge fonts in regards to world of warcraft?

EDIT: Sorry, just re-read what you said; I mistook the meaning the first time. I didn't say that the people on here shouldn't/wouldn't know something about wow, I was saying that most of us don't, and that the OP would get an answer faster on forums dedicated to the game instead of ones that are more general, i.e. Tom's.

I kinda think that you're more looking to get upset than generally taking offense. I'm sorry if that's not the case, but nothing I'm saying should have caused that much anguish.

No, The word "nerd" is pretty much meant to be offensive, I can call you with some other offensive name and claim that it's not offensive at all, Does that change anything? That word is still offensive

Nerd: n.
1) A foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious: "one of those nerds who never asked a girl to dance".
2) An intelligent, single-minded expert in a particular technical discipline or profession.

I think in this case, given the context, it's fairly obvious that I was using the latter definition, and I take pride in having expertise in "nerdy" subjects, and taking an interest in my learning.

Now, I did not mean offense. I'm sorry that you took offense to it, but know that you're going to see it again and that it's not always a bad word; most of the time now it actually has positive connotations.

I will help your question, because I do play WoW. You can get slice and dice without MoP. If I'm remembering right, slice and dice just uses your combo points to give you a boost for your atk speed. The more combo points you have and use slice and dice, the longer it will be on for you. I forget the amount of atk speed increase but its a good ability to use.

Checked it now, Slice n Dice you get the ability fairly early now at lvl 14. Used to be around higher lvls like lvl 40 but they changed it. If gain a 45% atk speed increase when using ability. The more combo points you have when you use slice n dice, the longer the duration it will be on.
