Help With First Overclock

Hi there, as the title says I need some help with my first overclock, I am New to this and am really unsure of what to change, I have successfully changed the clock timing, but everything else is confusing. Also what would I have to do to get the most out of my system?

system specs:
-AMD Phenom x3 8450
-AsRock N68 PV-GS
-GlacialTech Igloo 7200 CPU cooler
-Corsair CX430
-1GB Samsung DDR2 RAM
-Nvidia 6800T Turbocache
-160GB Seagate Baracuda

Damn, that 1 GB of RAM is holding you back. Why are you trying to overclock? Most new applications and games will eat up 1 GB of RAM without trying, and an overclock won't help that.

It's all I have available at the moment, and the reason for overclocking is that I want to have enough power to stably play New games, whilst running FL Studio 10, not really a great reason but its a reason haha

The thing is, I don't think overclocking will do much to improve performance. Although, I'm not 100% sure, so someone else should prove/disprove my conjecture.

Okay, so just got some more ram, 2GB G.Skill 800mhz, any advice now?
