Hello, I have a problem with my RAM, I recently bought a 2 GB RAM, I already have one 2 GB RAM fixed in my PC, I fixed the new one, and started the computer and right click the "Computer" and saw 2 GB, I downloaded a program called CPU-Z, I scanned my computer with it and it shows 4 GB RAM. My mother board model is Intel DH61WW Classic Series.

Thank you.

Remove the original module and only use the new module. Does the system work? Your new module may be defective, not compatible with your system or with the old module. CPU-Z should report dual channel memory if both modules were detected properly. Are both modules the same?

That's why I asked what is the BIOS saying. Likely hardware issue, switching the modules might help detect if one of them is faulty, I would add try switching the slots, as well, it is possible the DRAM slot is faulty, even if the module is OK.

I agree that a slot could be faulty.

No need to be sorry as that happened to a lot of people.
