3D monitor with thin Bezel

Im having an absolute nightmare trying to find a thin or frameless monitor in 3d even not in 3d i can barely find one, and the ones that do are misleading and actually have a internal black border making the thin bezel obsolete, is there any nice 3d monitors 27" out there anyone recommends with a slim frame. There is no budget

very hard indeed, but if you move up to 32" and have a look @ 3D TV's then you might have more options. Samsung/LG/Phillips have very thin bezels.

thank you, but i think 32" may be a slight bit too big for a computer desk, and to also use for general tasks such as windows word processing etc

Stick with monitors. 3D TV's limit you to 24hz or 720p for 3D gaming. You'll also need to pick HD3D or Nvidia 3D Vision (2), as it will determine your video card brand. Generally you are going to want to go Nvidia 3D Vision 2 rather than AMD for 3D.

That limits your option to Samsung monitors for the most part. Look up the 700 750 and 950 lines.

The problem with going HD3D is the lack of mod community that can turn your 3D game selection from about 25-30% of your games to about 50%+. And even in those 25-30% of games that will work, you'll have to turn off things like shadows a lot.

If it is at all possible, I'd recommend selling the AMD card and get an Nvidia card, as monitors generally do not get replaced nearly as often as video cards.

ASUS VG278H or VG278HE (needs kit, but 144hz) 27"
ASUS VG248QE (needs kit) 24"
BenQ XL2420TX or XL2420T (needs kit) 24"

If you are going 3d Surround, it might be cheaper to go without a built in emitter and use a single kit for the setup.

what if i would just want the 3d mainly for movies, and play the odd game? is it worth the hassle of changing gpu?

Probably not, but then why would you care about small bezels, unless you wanted 3 of them in surround? You also might find that once you try it, you'll want to play more 3D games than you realized (this happened to me).

thin bezel is a case of asthetics to me, i think they look nice with less bezel, we have a new tv, 47" which is pretty frameless infact once on and watching you never know there was even a frame around it, its that small.
