I do not have any sound on my e machine. I have checked all plugins and wall plugs and all are tight. Troubleshooter tells me that my speakers aren't pluged in. I am upset because I can't afford to have it fixed as I am retired and I use my skype and email to stay intouch with family and friends since I do not have a car to visit. Is here any one to help me???

If your comp is telling you that your speakers aren't plugged in when they in fact are, then there is likely a problem with the audio out jack on your motherboard. An easy, low cost solution would be something like http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-CM-UAUD-Adapter-C-Media-Chipset/dp/B001MSS6CS - this costs $8.48 on Amazon, it is a USB stereo adapter, essentially you plug it into a USB port on your computer and then plug your speakers, headphones, etc into this adapter.
