Hey,
I am seriously considering including a good quality sound card in my first PC build and I was just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the Asus Xonar Essence and Phoebus. I love music - whether through speakers or headphones - and I particularly like editing videos and other media etc. I don't know whether I should go for a cheaper sound card like Sound Blaster or whether the Essence or Phoebus are worth the extra money. Moreover, I would like to know whether the aforementioned sound cards will be compatible with my other components. But most of all, if you have had experience with the Essence or Phoebus can you share your thoughts?
My PC specs are as follows:
AsRock Z77 Extreme 6
Intel 3rd Generation i7-3770
Corsair 16GB 1600MHz Vengeance
2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA-III HDD
250GB Samsung 840 6/GB/s SATA-III SSD
