Monitor and BIOS problems

So I just bought a barebone kit from geeks.com http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=B-DP45SG-E6850-K2&cat=SYS and I installed the parts. I powered it on and it doesn't beep right way. The screen comes on to the Intel menu where I can enter BIOS (f2 key) and then flashes black for awhile, then goes to the Intel menu again. Nothing happens when I try to enter BIOs, and there is a single beep ever 8-15 seconds. What should I do?

I did buy ram as well. I am fairly sure it is all connected properly, however there are no diagrams or anything that I could follow. Mostly trial and error from my old days when i built computers. I am assuming the screen goes black due to the error of rhe video card not having the right drivers (there is no on board video card either) but when it goes black there is no longer power to the USB keyboard. When the screen is on, it has power but would let me boot to BIOS
