I picked up a Syba/IOCrest SY-PEX40039 6.0 Gbps SATA III PCI-e 2.0 x1 controller card for my SSD, but can't properly test it at the moment (all my mobo's are PCI-e 1.0). Can someone post their benchmark results from CrystalDiskMark or HD Tune for their [SATA III] SSD and SY-PEX40039?

Ya, I'd be happy with that. I got ~195 MB/s (CrystalDiskMark) with the controller card on my PCI-e 1.0 x1 slot on my mobo. I'm inclined to return the card since it's useless on my computer (I actually get 225 MB/s with the SSD connected to the built-in SATA II controller), but if it does perform well on a mobo with PCI-e 2.0 x1 than I'll keep it in my toolbox.

For a $15 card, looks like a keeper.

For ssd's its not really the speed you care about but the access time.
For example I have an older intel chipset HTPC dual core with a 60gb partiot pyro SSD in on a sata2 port. I've also got an AMD tri-core setup with a 128gb samsung 830 sata3 on a sata3 port.

They both load the same OS (win8) and software (pretty much avg and flash) yet the intel is much quicker despite only getting 230-ish transfer speeds. The samsung gets 450's.
