Will minecraft run well on my computer?

I'm building a computer for the first time, and I'm wondering if the parts I have picked out will work well for gaming. I want to play games like vanilla Minecraft and CoD mostly. Here's my parts list:
Intel i3-3220 3.3 Ghz CPU
8 gb Corsair XMS3 RAM
WD 1 TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
EVGA GT 640 Graphics Card
550 Watt power supply
Gigabyte LGA 1155 MoBo
If anyone knows how many fps I should get and what graphics settings I can run, let me know.

Yes, you have nothing to worry about. Go for the 3570K Processor though. Trust me, it makes a HUGE difference. Also think about getting a better Graphics Card like the AMD Radeon 7850 or 7870 in case you want to play more GPU-intensive games games or just want higher FPS.
