I was all excited to get my new fan controller to be able to reduce the noise of the computer when it's idel. I install it and make sure the cables are all managed and go to boot it up, and I get an error that says "CPU fan error". So basically I'm an idiot and didn't know if I plug my CPU fan into my fan controller, my mobo won't boot.

The fan controller only reduces fans to 30% ish, and I have more than adiquate cooling, so I'm not concerned about my CPU overheating, but my motherboard still is. The reason this is important to me is my heatsink has two 140mm NZXT performance fans, which combined are fairly loud.

Anyone have any clue how to disable the need for the motherboard to control the CPU fan? I have an ASUS P7P55D-E Pro mobo.

Or if there is a way to splice wires I'm cool with that too. Whatever gets me the results I want I am willing to do. Even if it means running power from my mobo CPU fan to my fan controller to my fans.
