Went through and did tons of research on every component and would appreciate a critique of my build. Gonna be used primarily for gaming. I can afford this system, but i would be happy if i could take about $500 off without sacrificing much, so let me know if anything is "over the top"
Thanks!!

the Intel Core i7-3820 is a locked processor, better get a Intel Core i7-3770K if you want you overclock, also it better to get a gtx titan than the 2 way sli. btw this rig is more than overkill if you are just starting pc gaming.

Have you thought about waiting 10 days and getting a 780 GTX?

Why choose a Socket 2011 CPU and go quad core? Waste of money. Like others have said 3770K will save you some $$ and you can OC it.

Also not a big fan of the closed loop cooler, pretty memory, and pretty power supply. In a big case like yours I would have went with a big air cooler, low profile memory and a very good power supply.

For your 3770K :

This build should give you equal gaming performance (potentially more, actually):

That said, CrossFire has some known issues. I would understand should you wish to replace the 7970 Ghz. Editions with a pair of 670s, though you would lose a bit of potential performance.
